Income guideline
To qualify for an apartment in West Block, you must meet at least: a gross monthly income of 3.5x the monthly rent. For two earners, the combined monthly income must be 4x the gross monthly rent. Entrepreneurs must be registered with the Chamber of Commerce for at least 2 years. In addition, a recent profit or loss account of at least two full financial years must be shown. For pensioners, the gross monthly income must be at least 3 times the monthly rent. You must not be in arrears with a previous landlord.
For rental properties up to €1,068, a housing permit must be requested from the City of Amsterdam. Before allocating a house, we look at the financial feasibility of the application. We apply a minimum (combined) gross income requirement of €47.500,- per year up to a maximum of €64.407,-.
