Change my contract

Do you want to make a change to your rental agreement? For example, due to a change in the composition of your household? We are happy to help you.

The rental agreement contains the names of the tenant(s). Sometimes it is necessary to adjust this information, for example in the event of a marriage, adding a co-tenant or unfortunately in less pleasant circumstances, such as a divorce or death. We ensure that your rental agreement remains up-to-date and are happy to adjust it for you.

How does it work?

Please clearly indicate which change you wish to make and attach any required documents.

Download the application form here.

Our team will review your request and contact you for additional information if necessary.

Once everything is in order, we will process the changes and you will receive a confirmation.

Tenants and residents: what is the difference?

Tenants on the contract

As a tenant, you are officially responsible for the home and are listed on the rental contract. Here are some important rules:

  • Living in the home: Tenants on the contract must live in the home themselves.
  • Joint tenancy: Only your partner can become a co-tenant. This can be done in two ways:
    • In the event of a marriage or registered partnership, you automatically become a co-tenant. Please let us know so that we can adjust the rental contract. This makes it easier to arrange matters together.
    • Do you live together, but are you not married or a registered partner? Then you can apply for co-tenancy after two years of living together. You can prove this with a BRP from the municipality.
  • Number of tenants: A maximum of two tenants can be listed on a rental contract.

Residents without a tenancy agreement

If you live in the property but are not listed on the tenancy agreement, you are considered a resident, not a tenant. This has several important consequences:

  • No tenancy rights: Residents have no direct rights or responsibilities that come with the tenancy agreement.
  • Residents' income: Residents' income can be taken into account in situations such as rent increases or renting a new property.
  • Children in the home: Children living in the home are always considered residents, not co-tenants.

Make sure that your living situation is properly recorded. Do you have any questions about tenancy or residents? Feel free to contact us; we are happy to help you!
