What minimal income do I need to have in order to rent accommodation?

We apply various income conditions. These are related to your situation and depend on the type of accommodation you wish to rent. If you work in paid employment or own your own company the condition we will usually apply is based on an income level that is equal to at least four times the gross monthly income. Once you have selected the accommodation you require, please see the amount listed under “income requirements” to determine the minimum income level required.

If you are retired we always look at your net monthly income. Approximately €1000 (euros) should remain after you have deducted the gross amount paid for rent from your net monthly income.
