The nice thing is that the architect has done everything possible to provide almost all flats with a view of the Entrepothaven. The flats are wonderfully light thanks to the high windows from the floor up.

Beautiful architecture
Amsterdam-based architecture firm Arons & Gelauff is the force behind the design of Cruquius 1.3. ‘The architecture refers to Cruquius' maritime and industrial past. Then you quickly think of dark bricks, but we actually wanted to create buildings that are light and expressive, that fit well with the rest of the buildings on Cruquius island. We achieved this by providing the buildings with characteristic ‘shed roofs’. You can see that sawtooth shape, familiar from old factories, from afar.’
